Alarm Delay
Mode
Use this option to select the type of delay (if any) the zone will have. Options are: No Delay
No delay
The zone will cause alarms immediately.
Entry delay
A zone selected as an entry delay zone will begin an entry countdown when an alarm is
tripped. The alarm tones and reporting will be delayed until the entry delay timer reaches 0
or the user acknowledges it by entering a valid code to disarm the area.
Entry delay follower
Interior zone annunciations and reports will be delayed when an entry zone is violated.
Cross alarm delay
When an alarm occurs in a cross alarm zone, an audible warning tone will sound on the
internal 1 speaker and all Touchpads in the area, but an alarm will not be reported unless
another zone in the same area also goes into alarm.
The cross alarm delay is reset when a user acknowledges it by entering a code. Cross alarm
delay events are stored in the event history buffer.
Smoke verification delay
If an alarm occurs in a zone selected as smoke verify, the panel will not automatically go
into alarm unless the zone is tripped a second time during the smoke verification cycle. See
Section 4.16.1.2 for more information.
Note: Do not select the 10 second response speed if you are using this option.
Entry Delay Enter the duration (number of seconds) for the entry delay. Entry delay must be enabled in
order for the duration to take effect (see previous option). In a UL installation, the duration
of the delay must not be longer than 45 seconds.
